05 Jun Hef-PA A friend of mine came up with the idea of making an IPA-style hefeweisen (or would it be a hefeweisen-style IPA?). The goal was to get the banana flavor and aroma from the hefeweisen yeast and pineapple from Topaz hops. Hefeweisen yeast produces a hazy beer, so we thought we might end up with something looking like a NE IPA without the commonly used yeast strain.
