Midnight Oil - Imperial Stout

MIdnight Oil - Imperial Stout Version #2 A high ABV stout with a hefty amount of Munich malt. Small changes from first batch, mostly in fermentation. It was about a year and a half since the last time I brewed this beer. I really had no intention of doing anything differently this time, however, there were some differences that just sort of arose, mostly in the way things played out during brew day. Hef-PA

A friend of mine came up with the idea of making an IPA-style hefeweisen (or would it be a hefeweisen-style IPA?). The goal was to get the banana flavor and aroma from the hefeweisen yeast and pineapple from Topaz hops. Hefeweisen yeast produces a hazy beer, so we thought we might end up with something looking like a NE IPA without the commonly used yeast strain.
